About
So my adventure with Mexico started in 1980, when I first travelled to Puerto Vallarta.
At that time, I had been studying Spanish for almost two years, so I was able to engage with the local culture through language. It’s then that I fell in love with the colorful Mexican people.
My Spanish studies continued to grow as I wanted to explore more of Mexico. I took a solo backpack trip in 1983-1984; I had 900 Cad dollars to stretch from the Yucatan peninsula, Chiapas, Oaxaca, and along the coastline. That realization made my connection to Mexico even deeper, at that point, I knew that one day I would invest in real estate. I would live here but didn’t know when.
After making several trips my partner and I bought a fixer upper in 1999. We started investing in real estate in Canada, used our equity to purchase more properties in Mexico and started growing our portfolio in both countries.
I completed my studies and graduated with a Masters Degree in Applied Linguistics, being trilingual, understanding non verbal cues, and the culture language skills enhance my negotiating power.
My journey as an athlete has been an essential part of shaping the professional I am today. Over the years, I have competed in more than 30 races, including running the prestigious Boston Marathon three times. In 2009, I proudly became the Canadian Ultramarathon 50K champion in my age category—a feat that required not just physical endurance, but immense mental focus, discipline, and tenacity.
These qualities, developed through countless hours of training and competition, have carried over seamlessly into my real estate career. In the world of real estate, just as in running long-distance races, success isn’t achieved by luck; it’s earned through meticulous planning, unwavering focus, and the discipline to see things through to the finish line. Whether I’m guiding clients through the process of buying or selling property, or navigating the complexities of Mexico’s real estate market, the same dedication that helped me cross every finish line drives me to deliver exceptional results.
In every transaction, I apply the perseverance and strategic mindset I’ve honed as an athlete. Real estate, like ultramarathon running, is about going the distance—and I am committed to going the extra mile for my clients every step of the way.
